S Boarding House

TTA PROJECTS

This boarding house was designed with a minimalist form and bold, recognizable facade to stand out in the dense urban setting of Mataram. The distinct dual gable roof provides a strong architectural identity, making the building both functional and visually memorable.

Exposed cement material was chosen as a cost-efficient solution while maintaining a raw and honest aesthetic. The rough texture brings out the strength of the structure and aligns with the warm, tropical context of Lombok.

The second-floor facade is wrapped with a patterned screen acting as a secondary skin—offering shade from the tropical sun and creating interesting light and shadow play throughout the day.

Additional elements such as the planter box and perforated gate enhance the overall facade without overwhelming it. These details also introduce a subtle touch of greenery, adding softness to the composition.

The design reflects our commitment to creating spaces that are not only economical and functional but also architecturally expressive and human-centered.

We will also share the finalized option once it has been confirmed.
